Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy is an ancient healing art that has been in use for over 6500 years. The use of essential oils can be dated back to the time of ancient civilizations such as the Egyptians and Romans. There are over 200 references to the use of essential oils in the Bible.
Only top quality Young Living Essential Oils are used.
What are Essential Oils?
Essential oils are natural concentrated plant essences that are distilled from herbs, shrubs, trees, flowers, roots, bushes, fruits and seeds. They contain oxygenating molecules which transport the life force nutrients of the plants to the cells of the body. When inhaled the fragrance accesses the limbic system of the brain which is the basis of emotion, reason and the sense of smell. Studies at New York University proved that a small gland in the limbic system of the brain called the amygdala stores and releases trauma in the body. It does mot respond to the senses of sound, sight or touch. Emotional trauma is ONLY released by this gland through the sense of smell. Essential oils have anti-viral, antibacterial and antiseptic properties. They also have been found to reduce chemicals and bacteria in the air. Essential oils create a greater emotional and physical harmony.
Raindrop Therapy
A gentle approach to healing, Raindrop Therapy uses pure essential oils in combination with several application techniques. Essential oils are dropped onto the spine from about six inches above the body. The oils are then spread using light strokes, which stimulatethe electrical body to disperse the oils throughout the body. Essential Oils penetrate cell walls, bringing oxygen and stimulating the immune system as well as detoxifying at a cellular and tissue level. Certain oils used in this treatment help reduce inflammation and help destroy bacteria and viruses, assisting the body to come back to balance physically, mentally and emotionally.
Releasing Emotional Patterns with Essential Oils
Through the use of essential oils, Chinese Alarm Points, Kinesiology, and Somatic awareness, this technique helps you to clear your emotional patterns at the cellular level so you can live a happier, freer life. By understanding emotional patterns which are often part of our subconscious, you can become aware of your emotional patterns, and limiting belief structures resulting in emotional balance.
Reflexology
Reflexology is another ancient healing art that has been practiced in China, India and Egypt dating back 5,000 years. This therapy is based on the idea that the organs of the body are represented on the feet, hands and ears making them a vital map of the body. A signal to the peripheral nervous system is triggered from gentle pressure to the feet with the hands. From there it enters the central nervous system where it is processed in various parts of the brain. It is then relayed to the internal organs. During a session of therapy, more than 7,000 nerves are stimulated .
Reiki
Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a method of natural healing based on the application of Universal Life Force Energy. Reiki was developed in the early 20th century by Dr. Mikao Usui in Japan. During a session, the energy is channeled for healing through the hands. Many healthcare practitioners like to have Reiki done for their patients in their clinics. It is a holistic, natural, energy healing system that touches on all levels: body, mind, and spirit. Reiki promotes relaxation, stress reduction and can be a profound and powerful experience.
Healing Energy Work
Healing Touch is a style of energy-oriented healing using hands-on and energy-based techniques to balance and align the human energy field. It is founded on the belief that all people have the ability to facilitate healing through compassionate intent and that all healing is basically self-healing. Healing Touch offers a useful complement to a person’s selected medical care. Through the release of blockages in the energy field, it works to support the healing abilities of the body and speed the healing process. Healing Touch is also very powerful as a preventive and health maintenance tool. It evokes a healing response that involves the whole person: the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. When utilized at the first symptom of discomfort or distress, it is very effective in moving the person back to health, harmony and wholeness When used to explore wholeness within, it can restore the energy system before a physiological symptom occurs.
All sessions of Healing Touch and Reiki are
done with the client fully clothed while
relaxing on a massage table.
Both Healing Touch and Reiki techniques
have been accepted by the Nurses Association and are practiced in many
hospitals in several states across the country including
Colorado.
Alternative therapies are a complement
to standard medical care and should not
be used as a replacement.
