Muscle Testing

Muscle testing is a simple technique that allows you to communicate directly with your body. It can tell you exactly what your body needs at any given moment. It is really very simple. It is just a way of communicating with your subconscious mind.

Because the body is a manifestation of the subconscious mind, we can receive accurate answers from the body. Whenever you say or think something that resonates as true with the subconscious mind, the electrical and magnetic fields around the body actually become stronger and as a result the muscles also become stronger.

Similarly, when you say or think something that resonates as false with the subconscious mind, the electrical and magnetic fields around the body actually become weaker and as a result the muscles also become weaker.

The limiting beliefs that we hold in the subconscious mind are accurately confirmed through muscle testing. By clearing the subconscious mind of unhealthy beliefs or thought patterns and replacing them with empowering ones, Theta healing can facilitate the activation of our body's inner wisdom to heal itself.

Method 1.

Sit in a relaxed, comfortable position. Make a ring with your thumb and index finger. Place your index finger on your other hand through the ring. Hold the ring tight and say "YES" as you use the index finger on your other hand to pull through the ring. The ring should stay intact. Hold the ring tight and say "NO" as you use the index finger on your other hand to pull through the ring. The ring should break and let your finger pull through.

Method 2.

While sitting in a relaxed, comfortable position, make a ring with your thumb and index finger. Make another ring inside the first with your thumb and index finger on your other hand. Hold the rings tight and say "YES" as you apply resistance. The rings should stay in tact. Hold the rings tight and say "NO". As you apply resistance to both rings one of them should break.

Method 3.

Stand with your feet shoulder width apart, facing north, in a balanced, neutral position. Make sure you are standing straight, with no bend in your knees and your head and shoulders erect but comfortable. To test say "YES" - you should feel yourself tilting forward. Next, balance yourself again and say "NO" - you should feel yourself tilting backwards.

If your muscle testing is unclear

While it is generally extremely accurate, there are some factors that can influence muscle testing. The most important factors include:

  • Hydration - dehydrated people do not muscle test properly. Drink some water and try again.
  • Demineralization - you can not muscle test properly if you do not have enough minerals in your system.
  • Stress - powerful emotional triggers can make muscle testing more difficult.

The Origin and Basis of Muscle Testing

In 1964, Dr George Goodheart, a Chiropractic Physician, discovered that he could derive information about the body through a process of testing muscles. He found a way to bypass the conscious filter of the mind so he could communicate directly with the physical body. This profound discovery opened the door to being able to determine exactly what was going on in the body. Dr. Goodheart demonstrated the interrelationship of muscles to internal body functions.

Muscle testing is based on the standard muscle strength tests used to determine muscle disability. These tests were developed by Kendall, Kendall & Wadsworth, medical authorities on kinesiology, which is the science of human muscular movements (Muscles: Testing and Function, 2nd ed., Baltimore, 1971)
